    The New Junior High School Reforms: Following the successful conduct of regional training workshops on the Common Core Programme (CCP) Curriculum, all is set for the roll-out of the CCP. NaCCA: New BECE Question Structures for All 2024 Candidates

     

    The Common Core Programme consists of nine (9) learning areas that have been carefully designed for learners from JHS 1 to SHS 1 in order to prepare them adequately for post-secondary education, the world of work or both. Some of the key features of the CCP are as follows:

    Introduction of project work, community service and engagement to link classroom learning to real life.

     

    Introduction of technical and vocational courses such as Career Technology, Creative Arts and Design for all learners from JHS 1 to SHS 1 in order to equip them with the relevant technical and vocational skills

     

    Introduction of computer software programming and internet safety to promote lifelong learning. • Emphasis on values such as respect, diversity, equity, commitment to excellence, truth and integrity to promote patriotism.

    Notably, learners will continue to write examinations (BECE) at the end of JHS 3 for placement into Senior High Schools with the following subjects and examination structures:

    1. CAREER TECHNOLOGY

    The Career technology paper will take 2hr 5mins maximum time to be completed.
    The Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 50 minutes

    Paper 2 consists of TWO parts: A & B to be taken in 75 minutes.

    There are two compulsory questions: Question 1 and Question 4

    2. COMPUTING
    In computing Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 45 minutes

    The Paper 2 consists of TWO Sections: A & B to be taken in 75 minutes.

    Section A is a compulsory questions: Question 1 is compulsory

    Candidates are expected to answer any three questions in Section B.

    3. CREATIVE ARTS & DESIGN
    The Paper 1 of Creative Arts & Design will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 45 minutes

    The Paper 2 consists of Three Sections: A, B and C to be taken in 80 minutes. Candidates are expected to answer four questions.

    Section A is made up of Visual Arts questions of which Question 1 is compulsory Candidates then answer any other question.

    4. ENGLISH LANGUAGE
    Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 50 minutes. 35 questions on grammar usage and 5 questions on oral language component.

    Paper 2 consists of Three Parts: A, B and C to be taken in 70 minutes. Candidates are expected to answer one question in Part A and all questions in Parts B and C.

    Section A is Composition. Candidates select one question out of three questions.

    Section B (Comprehension): Candidates are expected to read a passage and answer all questions under it. It also contain questions on Summarizing

    5. GHANAIAN LANGUAGE
    Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 50 minutes. Customs (10 questions), Institutions (10 questions), Oral and Written Literature (10 questions) and Listening & Speaking (10 questions)

    Paper 2 consists of Four Parts: I, II, III and IV to be taken in 70 minutes.

    Part I – Composition: answer only one question from this part.

    Part II – Comprehension: Candidates is expected to answer all questions from this part.

    Part III – Translation: Candidates is expected to answer all questions in this part. They are expected to translate 10 sentences from English Language to Fante.

    6. MATHEMATICS
    Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes

    7. RELIGIOUS & MORAL EDUCATION
    Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 45 minutes.

    Paper 2 consists of TWO Sections: A & B to be taken in 60 minutes.

    Section A is a compulsory questions: Question 1 is compulsory

    Candidates is expected to answer any three questions in Section B.

    8. GENERAL SCIENCE
    Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 45 minutes

    Paper 2 consists of Two Parts: A and B to be taken in 85 minutes.

    Candidates are expected to answer four questions.

    Part A – Practical Test: is compulsory and it comprises of Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry and Physics Practical. Candidate is expected to answer all questions.

    Part B: Candidate is expected to answer three out of four questions.

    9. SOCIAL STUDIES
    Paper 1 will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 45 minutes.

    Paper 2 consists of Three Sections: I, II & III to be taken in 60 minutes.

    Section I – The Environment: Question 1 is compulsory

    Candidates is expected to answer any two more questions.
    One in Section B (Law, Order and Nation Building) and one question in Section III (Social and Economic Development)

    The administration of the National Teaching Council (NTC) has announced the results of Phase 1 of the Ghana teacher licensure 1 & 2.

    According to a press release made by the National Teaching Council on Facebook, which has been verified by PerfectGhana.com, the first portion of the results for the GTLE 1 & 2 have been made available.

    How to Check Your 2024 Results on the NTC Licensure Examination

    1. Start by going to the NTC Online Portal, which may be found at Check Result
    2. Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and the Serial Number that you used when you registered for the test into the appropriate fields on the login screen.

    3. After that, you’ll need to click the “Submit” button in order to obtain the results of your NTC exam.

    Select your service provider, enter your MoMo number and click on Make Payment to pay for the clearance form.
