BECE Updates on Mandatory Subjects, Elective Subjects and Optional Subjects for 2024 Candidates

TO ALL REGIONAL DIRECTORS OF EDUCATION, 2024 BASIC EDUCATION CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (BECE) REGISTRATION

Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all Regional Directors to ensure that the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates register the approved courses.

For the avoidance of doubt, the subjects to be registered are;

BECE Updates on Mandatory Subjects, Elective Subjects and Optional Subjects for 2024 Candidates

1. Mandatory Subject: – English Language, Mathematics, General Science, Social Studies, Religious and Moral Education, Career Technology and Creative Arts and Design

2. Elective Subject: Ghanaian Language (Candidates are supposed to register for the Ghanaian Language they studied). II.

3. Optional Subject: – French, Arabic and Computing.

Regional Directors are by this letter requested to communicate the above to their respective Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education for compliance.
